Representation and Accompaniment in Committees
We understand that many former soldiers with or without Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are unable to properly express themselves and encounter other difficulties.
People with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) may face a variety of difficulties and challenges when appearing before the Ministry of Defense committees, mainly due to the complex and sensitive nature of their condition. These difficulties include:
Difficulty in self-expression: People with PTSD may find it difficult to clearly express themselves and describe their experiences and the effects of trauma on their lives. This difficulty can be due to anxiety, depression, or an inability to accurately remember events.
Coping with anxiety and stress: The committee process can be stressful in itself, which can exacerbate PTSD symptoms, including anxiety, flashbacks, and tension.
Difficulties in concentration: People with PTSD may suffer from concentration difficulties, which can make it hard for them to follow the committee proceedings and respond appropriately.
Avoidance: Many veterans with PTSD tend to avoid situations that may remind them of the trauma or worsen their symptoms. Appearing before a committee may be perceived as such a situation.
Physiological responses: Some veterans may experience strong physiological responses, such as physical anxiety symptoms, during their appearance before the committee, which can make it difficult for them to stay focused and effective.
We understand these difficulties and provide personalized professional support. We offer counseling and preparation for committees, and we are present with you during the proceedings to ensure that your voice and needs are heard in the best possible way.
